The name Kat Graham sound familiar to you? Well if you are a Vampire Diaries fan, it should. Why it’s non other than resident which Bonnie Bennett of course. You might not recognize her in her first music video Put Your Graffiti On Me, but I promise you, it’s her, she actually reminds me a lot of Beyonce a la I whip my hair back and forth. This may be her first music video, but not her first dip in the music world.
Not only is she a great actress, Graham is also a professional dancer and a musical artist. The first song she ever wrote, called Derailed, was featured in a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie. In 2008, she completed a world tour with The Black Eyed Peas, where she was features in songs like I Got It From My Mama and The Dongue Song. In 2010, Graham released her first single, Sassy, followed by multiple covers of hits like Paula Abdul’s Cold Hearted and Only Happy When It Rains by Garbage. Kat also contributed to The Vampire Diaries soundtrack for the December 2, 2010 episode titled The Sacrifice.
Finally in February, 2012, she signed a contract with A&M Octone Records and posted a video on YouTube announcing the news to her fans, “I am so, excited to share my big special announcement with you guys first. The reason is I am now signed to A&M Octone Records. It is my first time being signed to a major label. We have a single and the new song that you guys will be hearing is called ‘Put Your Graffiti on Me’. We are shooting a music video this weekend.” Congrats
