I am a huge fan of the original Girls Next Door. After all, without Holly, Bridget and Kendra there wouldn’t be a Girls Next Door now would there? However, neither the girls nor the producers considered my feelings on this very important decision and everyone decided to go on their merry way and live their own lives. Holly Madison, Hef’s #1 girlfriend for over 6 years, moved to Las Vegas, became a member of the peep show cast in Planet Hollywood and is starring in her own E! spin-off called Holly’s World. Bridget Marquardt got her own show on the travel channel named Bridget’s Beaches and now travels all over the world. Kendra Wilkinson married her football player boyfriend, Hank Baskett, got her own E! spin-off called Kendra and is about to give birth to their first baby boy. Not bad for Playboy’s finest.
And the producers? well they couldn’t pass up an opportunity to bring new girls on board for this amazingly popular show. who are these girls you ask? Well first there’s the twins – Kristina and Karissa Shannon. They were born on October 2nd, 1989 in Ann Arbor Michigan but grew up in sunny Clearwater, Florida. The twins were discovered by non other than our very own Holly Madison when she was looking for candidates for Playboy’s 50th anniversary pictorial. They didn’t win the pictorial but they did win Hef’s lonely old heart after Holly left him high and dry. They also got their own month spread in the famous magazine, Karissa became Miss July 2009 and Kristina got Miss August 2009.
Kristina and Karissa Shannon were not always our famous sweethearts, back in 2007 the girls were actually arrested and charged for aggravated assault after a house party fight with two other people. The new Twins Next Door also enjoy a slew of activities such as clubbing and dancing (Even though they are not old enough to drink yet), playing the piano, watching movies, sports and finally their three adorable dogs, a Shih tzu named Ambrocios and matching Maltese puppies named Chanel and Dolce. Karissa and Kristina also made their film debut as twin strippers in Academy Award-winning filmmaker Sofia Coppola’s new movie Somewhere.

The last girl on our countdown is Hef’s new #1 girlfriend, Crystal Harris. Crystal was born in Lake Havasu, Arizona to two very British parents and soon after her birth, they relocated back to England. When Crystal was only 7 years old, they returned to America and settled down in sunny San Diego. Crystal met Mr. Hugh Hefner at his famous Halloween party in 2008, and after a few months of dating, Crystal Harris replaced the irreplaceable Holly Madison as Hef’s main squeeze. Crystal is a huge animal lover and her biggest fan is her Cavalier King Charles, Charlie. She also enjoys music, comedy shows, traveling and good food (Don’t we all). The main girl next door also started taking singing lessons and even recorded a song for her mother based on her late fathers unpublished tune. I’ve seen that episode, and girl… don’t quit your Hef job.
