March 18, 2009, at 11:51 amThis is the story of three girls – they’re Blonde, ambitious and definitely know how to have a good time, these are the girls of the Playboy mansion. I absolutely love this show and the girls and wanted to share their unique lives with everyone.
The first girlfriend of the trio was Holly Madison, born Holly Cullen on December 23, 1979 in Astoria, Oregon 
but had to move around due to her fathers’ timber career and ended up growing up in the Prince of Wales Island, Alaska even though later they moved back to Oregon. In order to afford college tuition she became a Hawaiian Tropic model and strutted her stuff as a hooters waitress while studying theater and psychology at the Portland state University. Later she moved to Santa Monica, CA to study real-estate and Business in UCLA. It didn’t take long till her rare beauty was noticed and she was invited to party at the Playboy Mansion.
As soon as Hugh Hefner laid his eyes on her, he wanted her all to himself, two days later (2001) Holly moved into the mansion and became one of Hef’s posse of about 8 girlfriends. Holly is a huge animal lover and besides her own 4 dogs she loves all of the playboy mansion animals including a big monkey named Coco and many of the Parrots on the grounds and she proved it by appearing on the cover of P.E.T.A magazine in her birthday suite stating “I’d rather be naked then wear fur”. Holly and Hef grew closer and closer together as the girlfriend troop became smaller and smaller, that is when another girlfriend joined the party…
Bridget Marquardt born Bridget Christina Sandmeier on September 25, 1973 originally from a little town called Lodi in CA. Bridget had always dreamed of being a playmate, looking through her dad’s old school playboy magazines when her parents weren’t around. She imagined that one day she too could be one of those beautiful women on the cover. After realizing that her dream wasn’t very practical she went and got a Bachelors degree in communication with an emphasis on public relations from the California state University in Sacramento and a Masters degree in communication from the University of the Pacific in Stockton California.
At the age of 25 she finally tested for playboy but unfortunately got denied – twice. Later on she got invited to attend one of Hefner’s crazy parties and became a regular. In October of 2002 after almost a year of visiting the mansion she finally moved in as one of Hef’s seven girlfriends. Bridget is a huge horror fan, her favorite holiday is Halloween and she even appeared in shows such as “Celebrity Paranormal Project” and “The Search for the next Elvira”. Bridget has a Siamese black fluffy cat named Gizmo and a little black Pekingese named Wednesday who she shares a radio show with on Sirius Radio – the playboy channel called the “Bridget and Wednesday Friday show”.
Kendra Wilkinson born June 12, 1985 in San Diego, CA to mom Patti who used to be a Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader (dad left when Kendra was 4). Kendra played softball for six years and graduated from Clairemont high school in 2003. Hef first met Kendra in 2004 as a painted girl on his 78th birthday bash. One of the guys who worked on the body painted girls printed out a picture of Kendra and left it on the printer, When Hef found the picture he immediately started asking around and a few days later she joined holly and Bridget at the mansion with her dogs Rascal and Martini. Kendra is a huge sports fan – she loves watching and playing! Her favorite football teams are the Chargers (growing up in San Diego) and the Eagles. She also studied in a massage therapy school and is the “Olive Garden’s” biggest fan.
That was when “The Girls Next Door” were born (2005), together they traveled the world and brought episode after episode of complete hilarity and showed us that blondes really do have more fun. They made several cameo appearances on hit TV shows such as Las Vegas, Entourage, celebrity Family Feud and Last Comic Standing as well as music videos of superstars such as Akon and Nickelback and movies such as The House Bunny and Scary Movie 4. Bridget’s (and the girls) life long dream finally came true in 2005 when Hef decided to do a full pictorial of the girls in Playboy.
Unfortunately the Girls Next Door era has come to an end towards the end of 2008. So you’re wondering what’s next for this blonde trio ?
Kendra, the youngest of the girlfriends (now 23) has moved out of the mansion after meeting Hank Basket, a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles. She had purchased a new home not too far away from the mansion and after a romantic proposal on the Space Needle in Seattle on November 8th; she is now planning her wedding while trying to adjust to a home life with no servants- new reality show to come on E – “Kendra”.
Bridget scored her dream job – her own show on the travel channel called Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches which debuted on March 12th, she gets to travels the world and hang out on the most beautiful beaches on camera and get paid for it – dream job indeed! She is also dating director Nicholas Carpenter whose mother was also a playboy bunny.
Holly also moved out of the mansion after realizing that her dreams of having a family with Hef will not be coming true and briefly dated the world famous illusionist Chris Angel, reportedly they are no longer together but Holly is keeping herself busy with many projects, one of them being a celebrity dancer on Dancing with the Stars.
