Tis the season for new shows and they are all competing for best new show status. It’s hard to decide what to watch, especially when most of these shows are on at the same time. Well I’m here to help you out with this major decision… The Beautiful Life! It’s a must watch. The Beautiful Life tells the story of a group of young models trying to make it in the big city (New York that is). The parties, the lying, the scheming and the love story all make you want to come back for more of this lovely new addiction of a show.
Who are we looking at here? The two young lovers, (Well not yet but it looks like the romance is creeping up) Raina and Chris, are played by Sara Paxton and Benjamin Hollingsworth. Rayna is a young model on her way to the top who unfortunately for her (But fortunately for us on the drama scale) has a dark past and a bad ass sounding father in jail.
Chris on the other hand is just a small town boy from Iowa who accidentally turned a NY family vacation into the beginning of a fabulous modeling career. Though he keeps getting screwed over by groping agents and scary photographers, he keeps trying to stay. If not for the desire not to become like his father then at least for the girl. And then there’s the girl who was born to play a bad girl model, Mischa Barton , who plays Sonja. Sonja was always the top model in the city, but after the 6 month break she took to have a secret baby (Which is kinda weird since I could have sworn it takes 9 months), her popularity has crashed and burned.
Another familiar face on the show is that of the head of the modeling agency which employs all these brats and that would be the face of Elle McPherson. Elle plays the caring yet tough yet out for herself former supermodel Claudia Foster. Of course there can’t be a show without the bitchy British girl, the drug dealer, the pretty boy, the cougar, the Russian mob and last but not least High School Musical’s own Corbin Bleu who plays Isaac Taylor, the DJ wannabe [can't get a job unless I sleep my way to the top] model.
There’s nothing more I can tell you. Not because I don’t want to tell you but because I don’t know myself. Though I’m definitely dying to find out…
Well looks like I’m not going to get a chance to find out because unfortunately the Ashton Kutcher produced show was officially canceled on Friday after only two episodes… too bad, I really liked it!
