July 2, 2010, at 12:17 pmIs anyone shocked by last night’s vote? I didn’t think so. Tap dancer Melinda Sullivan made a graceful exit last night after a pretty bad Fabian Sanchaz Salsa routine on Tuesday. She might be able shake her booty pretty good but the tricks were just completely sloppy and unworthy of season 7. Melinda almost went home last week but unfortunately Mia Michaels and Adam Shankman overpowered Nigel and sent salsa dancer Christina Santana home instead. A decision they completely regretted after Melinda’s salsa. So now we are down to two girls, my two favorites Lauren and Ashley, and the original six guys.
This week’s favorite routine is a Sonya Tayeh Jazz routine by non other then our all-star Courtney Galiano and Mark Kanemura (Wow, I just realized that Mark is actually in all three of my most memorable moments! The last one with Kayla and the first one with Chelsea). Not only is this dance is dark, sexy and just bad ass, it was also featured on last night’s show as one of the most memorable dances of the show. As far as the audience is concerned, this choreography put Courtney on the radar and led her all the way to season five’s third place.
