Get ready to cry your eyes out once again people! Nicholas Sparks has another tear jerker coming your way. It’s called Safe Haven and it stars two very good looking people – Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough.
Hough plays a pretty young lady named Katie Feldman who runs away from her dark and mysterious past, to the small town of Southport, North Carolina. There she meets Alex (Josh Duhamel), a handsome widower with two small children.
As she gets more and more attached to Alex and his kids, she becomes more afraid that the secret that has haunted her and made her move across the country, cant stay hidden for too long. Of course she realizes that with the help of her neighbor, Joe, who makes this love triangle complete.
Safe Haven, based on a best selling novel by the famed romance writer, Nicholas Sparks, will be out February 3rd, 2013. And if it’s anything like The Notebook and Dear John, I have no doubt it will be another one for the books.
Julianne Hough, who had her big movie breakthrough in Footloose and the new hit, Rock of Ages, will also be appearing in an untitled Diablo Cody project with Russell Brand, Holly Hunter, and Octavia Spencer, also due to come out 2013.
Josh Duhamel also has a couple of projects going on. He will be appearing in Fire With Fire (Coming out September 6th, 2012) with Rosario Dawson and Bruce Willis; Scenic Route (2013); and Red Band (January 25th, 2013) with Emma Stone, Gerard Butler, Elizabeth Banks, Hugh Jackman and a whole bunch of other people.

This will be a great movie and I a so looking forward to it. Isn’t it amazing how Nicholas Sparks creates such touching and heart grabbing stories time and again? He is really good at creating stories that grab people by the heart. He really is. Nicholas Sparks makes it all seem effortless and he does it over and over again and I can tell you, as someone who writes every day, you really have to love it and you can tell that Nicholas loves his audience. Did you hear he’s coming out with a TV series too? I had the privilege of meeting Nicholas Sparks in Miami with his wife and he gave me such great advice as an author. I think he taught me how to be a great storyteller before we even met, just by reading his books.
