It’s St. Patrick’s Day again and where else would I be but the grove. The evening started out slow but picked up pretty quickly once we got to Moe’s Tavern. Two of my friends and I walk in, look around and decide to go somewhere else. While they’re walking out I see this gorgeous guy in a green shirt that looks just like Jeffrey Donovan. Naaa… No way. So I walk outside, following my friends and go “hey guys…do you watch Burn Notice?” They turn around and say “Yeah, why?” and I reply “Because Michael Weston is inside”!!! They run inside and started hyperventilating; I could not believe me eyes. I knew they were filming in Miami but I had never seen a celebrity that close before. Right away we came up to him and asked to take a picture…

We walked outside and stood at the outside bar for a while and I decided to use the restroom. I walked right by him on the way there, and guess who I see on the way back? Bruce Campbell!!! Just chatting it up with Jeffrey. I go back to my friends and tell them what happened, meanwhile a girl and a guy behind us were talking about the same thing. We start talking to her and next thing I know she’s dragging me back inside to introduce me to Bruce Campbell and his wife. We shake hands and before I have time to ask for a picture they run out and we are left standing right next to Jeffrey and his friends so we start talking to him. We kept chatting for about 10 minutes but unfortunately had to close out and leave, so we shook hands again (like 4 times in total – I’m never washing my hand again!). Now a little bit of background:
Jeffrey Donovan, born May 11th, 1968 in Amesbury, MA and raised by his mother along with 2 other brothers. After earning a Masters degree in Fine Arts, he made his film debut in a typical modern caper flick Throwing Down. Many films followed, as well as guest appearances on many popular TV shows such as The Pretender, Spin City, Monk, CSI: Miami and Law & Order. He played a rich player in the hilarious movie Hitch with Will Smith, and a police investigator in Changeling along side Angelina Jolie.

The role that in my opinion made him this popular is playing Michael Weston on the hit TV show Burn Notice where he tells the story of an ex spy that’s been burned by his agency and was exiled to Miami (not much of an exile!). Alongside his buddy Sam Axe (Bruce Campbell) and his trigger happy ex-girlfriend Fiona Glenanne (Gabrielle Anwar) they help people that find themselves in unusual situations and require the services of an ex spy, while trying to find out who burned him so he can get back to his life. Unfortunately the season finally aired about two weeks ago but I can’t wait for the next season. (USA every Thursday at 10pm) Jeffrey currently resides in Topanga, FL with his wife and three boys. (when he’s not filming in Miami).

You got to meet Bruce Campbell? Holy fucking shit that would have made my life.
Jeffrey was not in “Inside Out”
