Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and her production company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, in collaboration with Renegade 83 and Universal Television, are bringing a new matchmaking show to NBC. Ready For Love will give three men, hand-picked by Longoria herself, the opportunity to find their soul mate, with the help of three world renowned matchmakers.
In an announcement made by NBC president of Alternative and Late Night Programming, Paul Telegdy, the network seems to be very excited for the new show. “We are thrilled to have Eva leading the charge creatively. She has enlisted the help of the three best matchmakers in the world, each with their own philosophies and approaches to guiding singles towards love. The show’s innovative format that uses online profiles and proven matchmakers will provide a better chance for our suitors to realize connections that will last long beyond the season finale.”
The three men are Ben Patton, an international financier from Dallas; Tim Lopez, a member of the popular music group Plain White T’s from Santa Barbara, California, and Ernesto Arguello, an entrepreneur with a social vision from Miami. Women who are interested in meeting the guys can apply for the show on the Ready For Love Facebook page, where you can also review the guys profile pages and learn more about them.
It’s not clear yet, at least not to me, how the show will run exactly but the Ready For Love Facebook page, as well as Longoria’s and the guys competing, will constantly be updated with content about the show as it plays out. Ready For Love will be hosted by the Style Network’s favorite couple, Giuliana (E! News) and Bill Rancic (The Apprentice) and will premiere in Winter 2012-13 with the dedication of executive producer Eva Longoria.
