This week the Mentors took the designers under their wing and basically told them what they wanted to see on the runway. Some designers were a little more resistant (ahm Ross) and some took the mentors advice to heart and ended up with offers from the buyers. My favorite of the week was definitely Luciana’s colorful dress and my least favorite were Kara’s suits, they were so baggy and just not attractive, I don’t want to look like I got something hanging between my legs.  By episode six of Fashion Star, we really begin to see who’s really got it and who’s just a one time wonder. Even though Orly Shani was my favorite, it seems that she really hasn’t had a sale in a while and I was pretty surprised they didn’t send her home last episode. Sarah Parrott is still stuck with H&M and cannot break the barrier and sell to anyone else. Some favorites are really stepping forward, like Luciana Scarabello and Lizzie Parker, so I cant wait to see who’s going to step up and become the next Fashion Star.

 Jennifer Lopez is one of the hottest stars in Hollywood today, so wouldn’t you want to look like her? I thought so. and she thought so too, so there you have her amazing collection sold Kohl’s, anything from shirts to shoes to purses, she’s got it all.  Each episode the designers are dwindling down, and real stars become to emerge. I was thinking yesterday, how will they change the show once every single designers makes a sale, does no one go home? It seems that Sarah Parrott has been selling out to H&M every single episode, Orly Shani hasn’t had a sale since the black zipper skirt and almost went home last night, and Nzimiro Oputa broke his lucky streak and had no sale yesterday.  Love The Hunger Games? Though so. And what better way to express your love then with Katniss Everdeen’s famous Brown Lace-Up Boots. The original boots are made by Frye, sold by Endless.com and are not affordable to us regular folk, so there you have the real deal and some similar looks you can get for less of a sticker shock.  The third episode of Fashion Star brought several more winning looks to a store near you. The designers that were purchased were Sarah Parrott, Nzimiro Oputa, Nikki Poulos, Ross Bennett, Kara Laricks, and Orly Shani. Anything from shorts to dresses to tuxedo pants ruled last nights fashion show. My fav Orly Shani got a huge offer this week for her color block dresses, from Saks Fifth Avenue.  The duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is not new to the fashion world. Her remarkable style has been making waves around the world and everyone wants a little piece of this elegant princess. This time, Kate’s look was classically preppy, when visiting the London 2012 Olympic Park in her role as a Team GB and Paralympics GB 2012 Ambassador.

 NBC’s Fashion Star had another successful shopping day, and I have to say, I am really getting into this. I can actually pin point exactly what outfit is perfect for what store and who’s gonna buy them out. I was probably right on every single designer except for my favorite, Orly Shani. I thought her twofer outfits were awesome and I was disappointed when she didn’t get any offers, but I guess I can kind of understand the buyers from a marketing perspective.

 The first episode of Fashion Star premiered the other day and it was well… ehh. It was a lot of fun when the buyers made an offer on some of the pieces, but when there were no offers, it was kinda boring. So this is how it goes… Two different designers (out of fourteen) show off one piece from their line at the same time (maybe they did that to save time), each having three models.
