Summer is here people!!! It’s time to go on a fantabulous vacation. If you enjoy a night out on the town, great shopping, amazing shows and luxury beyond belief, then Las Vegas is the place for you. I recently discovered a site called BestofVegas.com and it is so freakin’ great.
You can get discounts 20%-25% off at hotels like Circus Circus and the Trump tower, a $150 Value in resort extras at hotels like the Venetian and a FREE buffet for two at Bally’s, Ceasars, Paris and more. You can also save up to $40 or 50% off a variety of original Las Vegas shows like Jubilee, Donny & Marie Osmond, Penn & Teller, Zumanity, Cris Angel and more.
For the party animals, BestofVegas.com has an ultimate VIP nightclub pass, which includes Front of Line & Cover at 20 of Vegas’s hottest clubs like LAVO, JET, PURE, TAO and many more. There is also a ton of buy 1 get 1 FREE’s on food and drinks at 14 different locations including the Hard Rock Cafe, Cat House and McFadden’s at Rio. You’re thinking over $100 bucks for sure right? Well it’s actually $89.95! I wish I could take off work right now and go party.
That’s not all either, because they also offer tours to locations like the Hoover Dam as well as helicopter tours over the beautiful sites and mountains of Las Vegas. I’ve been to Vegas a couple of times and I absolutely love the mountain air and the fantastic view and if you get out there now, I know you will too.

Are you ready for summer ladies? More importantly, is your hair ready for summer? Brought to you by Cosmopolitan, I would like to introduce the hottest summer hairstyles on this side of the Mississippi. To quote the lovely magazine: “These romantic styles don’t require much time or squeaky-clean strands”. Well said Cosmo. I for one don’t have time or squeaky clean strands. I’m one of those girls who washes their hair every other day because my hair actually needs those oils it develops when it’s not freshly washed. So that second day, I always find interesting ways to put my hair in so it doesn’t look grungy. These laid back hairstyles are fantastically perfect.
1. The Flirty Fishtail Braid – This is the perfect beach hair braid. Why? The salty air actually gives your hair a certain texture which gives your hair those sun kissed beachy strands (I always wondered why that happens) and makes your hair perfect for braiding. If your hair is not within salty air breathing distance, Cosmo recommends using a sea salt spray on damp hair and letting it air dry. Try David Babaii for WildAid Beach Spray – 6.6 oz.
Next step, fishtail braid: First divide your hair in half and hold the left and right sides in each hand. Grab a half-inch section from the outside of the right side and add it to the inside of the left side. Repeat with a piece from the outside of the left side, adding it to the inside of the right side. Continue switching pieces until you run out of hair and secure with an elastic. Position the braid over your shoulder (Of your choosing) then tug out a few pieces around your face for a breezy effect (or just let the wind do its thing).
2. The Figure Eight Bun – If you’re one of those girls who likes to twist your hair in a casual bun and stick a pencil in it when your bored at work, this is the hairstyle for you. A pencil might not always be appropriate though, so when you need a quick classy but sassy do, try this one on for size. Make a low ponytail, leaving a few pieces loose around your face. Twist the length of your hair, wrap it in a figure-eight, push it up against the back of your head and tuck the ends into the loop you’ve just made. Insert a few hairpins or tiny barrettes to secure your locks all in place and finish with some lightweight hair spray for extra hold. Cosmo likes Paul Mitchell Express Style Worked Up 11oz .
3. Over The Shoulder Curls – Now this is probably the easiest hairstyle to do and I don’t just mean easy for professionals, I mean easy for you. All you have to do is work in some oil into your damp hair, Cosmo’s pick: Sally Hershberger Genius Spray Wax – 3.5 oz.
Then twist strands of hair into wavy locks and lay all your hair on one shoulder. To secure the hair on your shoulder while it dries, you can stick a few bobby pins in it. When you are ready to let it loose, take out the pins and let your locks fly.
4. Swept Up Sexy – This is literally the Snookie of all hairstyles and it won’t work if you hair is too clean. If your hair is clean, the strands will slide right down but if your hair is more oily and grungy, it will hold better. However, if you want to work the style on clean hair, try Sexy Hair Organics Volumizing Mousse (5.1 oz.) . Take a comb and tease your strands in order to build volume. Part your hair on the side and sweep back the top half of your hair. Push the sweeped section up slightly to form a small bump and secure with bobby pins. Slightly brush your strands but don’t make it perfect, it should look a little messy.

If Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian were not making waives before, they definitely are now. After opening up the Miami base for their clothing boutique Dash in May of last year, Kourtney and Khloe were partying it up in the sunshine state and filming their spin off show Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. Since then, Khloe married Lakers star Lamar Odom and Kourtney had a baby with long time on-and-off boy toy Scott Disick after getting preggers in none other then good ole’ Miami.
Now, the Kardashian sisters are back to revamp Dash Miami and are literally putting their own patooties on the line. To promote their new boutique make over, Kortney, Khloe and two new Dash dolls named Katy and Jessica were airbrushed in black, with a big Dash logo on their naked bodies. Go DASH!!!
Unfortunately, no matter how naked the girls get, it’s not going to make their store any better or the clothes any cuter. Obviously, a lot is expected from the Kardashians sisters since they are so popular, but I have heard nothing but bad reviews.

After getting a great response to my first PinkIce.com review, I decided to go back to the site and fish out a few new affordable and trendy favorites. Just to reiterate the details of the site’s program (Just in case you don’t click on the link above), PinkIce.com originated in Orange County, California and is hell bent on bringing the Orange County fashion to the rest of the world. They also have something called Pink points & Ice points.
Pink points are accumulated simply by shopping, 5% of each purchase is converted into Pink points and are added to your account 30 days after the shipping date, so you can’t cheat and return the clothes just to get the points. Pink points are calculated by the subtotal of your purchases (excluding tax and shipping charges) and they expire within 1 year of purchase if they are not used. Ice Points on the other hand are even easier to get, all you have to do is refer a friend to register for a Pink Ice account and you will receive 5% of their purchase every time they shop. For full details on Pink Ice’s terms and conditions check out the info page.
I did pick out a few affordable pieces under $25.00 but for all the big spenders out there, don’t worry, there are more expensive pieces for your shopping pleasures. And last but not least all purchases over $75 ship for FREE.

It’s needless to say that handbags are always a fashion must. Whether it’s a little clutch or a big ole body bag, next to pearls it’s a girls best friend. According to Wikipedia, handbags first became known in the 16th century. They were small and were made out of common materials like leather and fastened with drawstring on top and were carried diagonally across their body. A century later, bags became more complex and elaborate. Young Girls were taught embroidery and needlework skills in order to assist them in finding a husband. And so stitched artwork on bags became more popular.
In the 18th century, the neo-classical look became more fashionable and women started carrying their bags in their hands so that they don’t ruin their outfits. They named these bags “reticules.” Most women had several bags, one to match each outfit. Contents of these bags might include rouge, a fan, face powder, a scent bottle, a card case, visiting cards and smelling salts.
In the early 1900s people specifically began calling their bags “handbags”. This term was also referred to luggage that men carried which in turn inspired bags with internal compartments, complicated fasteners and locks. In the 1920s, it became popular that bags no longer had to match your outfit and in the 1940s, with World War II, handbags were made out of wood or plastic, since most metals were stragetic materials. In the 1950s, handbag designers became popular and included Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Hermes. Today these three brands are still popular, along with Christian Dior, Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Kate Spade, and Lockheart among many others.
