Heidi Montag’s New Plastic Face!

Heidi-Montag-plastic-surgery-change

Hills star, Heidi Montag has never been in the media for the right reasons. One drama after another made Heidi and her husband Spencer Pratt (Speidi) pretty much hated by the press and the public. Montag attempted a singing career but reviews were less than positive, in fact her album “Superficial” sold less than 700 copies to date world-wide. Speidi tried their luck on Fear Factor and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here. She even tried to do her own fashion line called Heidiwood. Unfortunately none of those things made her more popular, more liked or even made her feel better about herself.

It’s no secret she has tried to alter her appearance in the past, but apparently that was not enough. The wannabe pop singer underwent 10 different plastic surgeries in one day in November of 2009, and now she has finally healed enough to show her face but unfortunately not enough to move it. Heidi underwent a mini brow lift, Botox in her brow and frown line area, a nose job revision, fat injections in cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips (No idea what that means), chin reduction, neck liposuction, ears pinned back, a breast augmentation revision (She got F’s… but said she wanted an H for Heidi), liposuction on her waist, hips and inner and outer thighs, and a buttock augmentation. Heidi was said to have almost died after the procedure because she received too much Demerol, just like Michael Jackson.

Heidi Montag stated in a recent interview with Access Hollywood that she is done with plastic surgery (Even though she previously stated that she was addicted to it). Heidi is apparently very pleased with the results as she is thankful for modern science and her ability (and choice) to change her appearance completely. You can see the drastic transition in her face and body in photos above. She almost looks like a wax figure in the last picture. Look, I’m not saying plastic surgery is bad, but everything needs to be done in moderation. I myself am guilty of some nose modification but that’s because I looked like I had Mount Everest growing on my face. I really hope she is finally happy with herself because I’m afraid the next time she won’t make it out alive… and that’s really sad.

Top Video Monday – Charlie Daniels Band / Devil Went Down To Georgia

So I’m finally back from my Christmas vacay and what do you know… it’s time for Top Video Monday once again. I wasn’t planning on a Top Video Monday today as pretty much the last post was a Top Video Monday but when me and Mr. Smith saw a ‘believe it or not’ Geico commercial with Charlie Daniels in it and I just couldn’t resist. Great publicity for Charlie Daniels though.

This song was written, performed and released by the Charlie Daniels Band in 1979 on their Million Mile Reflections album. The song tells the story of the devil, who comes to Georgia looking for souls and is willing to make a deal. The devil runs to a skillful guy named Johnny and challenges him to a fiddle-off for his soul. However if Johnny wins, he will receive a golden fiddle from the devil himself. Johnny indeed won and welcomed the devil to come back anytime for a rematch.

Top Video Monday – Oren Lavie / Her Morning Elegance

The song is called Her Morning Elegance and is sung by Israeli singer, songwriter, playwright and theatre director – Oren Lavie. The music Video is by all means pretty cool and might give you a certain calming feeling. Enjoy!

Top Video Monday – Gary Jules (Tears For Fears) / Mad World

The Original Song, Mad world, is a song by the British band Tears for Fears, written by Roland Orzabal and sung by bassist Curt Smith. This was their first song to hit the UK charts in November 1982 and an international success by 1983.  20 years later the song was redone into a more ballad like song by composers Michael Andrews and Gary Jules for the movie soundtrack of Donnie Darko. While Tears For Fears used various synthesizers and percussion instruments, the Andrews/Jules version was stripped down to a set of piano chords, a cello and a vocoder on the chorus.

Since Donnie Darko, the song has been featured in many musical moments on shows like Smallville, Cold Case, Las Vegas, Without a Trace, ER, Nip/Tuck, CSI, Third Watch and many more. It is the perfect sad moment song. Though many people have their own interpretation for the meaning of the words, I think it’s all about feeling like your all alone in the world. I chose this video because sometimes the best video is the one that shows nothing but the words themselves. Instead of telling you exactly what the words suppose to mean, you get to decide for yourself, paint your own picture. What do the words mean to you?

What Was Madcon Thinking? Beggin’…

The first time I heard this song I was in the car driving home from my parents house and as on any long drive I was in desperate need of a great driving song and this was it. I immediately started to do my version of car dancing which involves nothing more then a very cool nod on the right beats. It took me forever to figure out what the name of the song really was, it sounds like begging but who knows.

I saw this video for the first time today… Wow! This was definitely not what I was expecting. I thought this was going to be more like a bunch of guys with dreads dancing at the pool and at the club with hot girls in bikinis walking by and the guys with dreads are begging them… or something like that. But no, instead this video was more like Putty Tang meets James Bond meets Thats 70’s Show.

I would even have to go as far as saying that the video kinda ruined the song for me… it’s just not that cool anymore. Well why don’t I stop and let you judge for yourself…

Top Video Monday – Michael Jackson / You Are Not Alone

This was a tough week for the world of music, dance and entertainment all together. Michael Jackson, The King of Pop, passed away but his revolutionary music and dance will never be forgotten.  It’s no coincidence that Michael Jackson was already acknowledged as a Top Video member, so I’m giving him to you again as a tribute.
My pick for this week is “You Are Not Alone”, one of those songs that just touches your heart. You Are Not Alone was released in August 1995 as a part of the “History” album, later certified as a platinum single, received a Grammy nomination and it holds a Guinness World Record as the first song in the 37 year history of the Billboard Hot 100 to debut at number one.
The video displays Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley (Whom he married in 1994) frolicking practically naked in a temple and a second scene of Michael Jackson performing to an empty hall. I think this video shows Michael in a vulnerable and very personal light and is the perfect song to remember him by.

Michael Jackson dead at 50 (1958-2009)

Michael-JacksonMichael Joseph Jackson, the iconic King of Pop, suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holby Hills home in California today around 12:20pm.  By the time the EMTs had arrived, Jackson had no pulse and it looked like there was no chance of reviving him. After being rushed to the UCLA medical center where chaos had already begun, he was eventually declared dead at 2:26pm according to the L.A coroner’s office. A cardiac arrest is defined as a rapid heart rate that has to be treated immediately by a defibrillator and in many cases is fatal.

A source tells E!, that in his last days Michael had mentioned being cold and not feeling well during rehearsals for his comeback tour. After a rough decade for Michael, this tour was supposed to be his big return to the entertainment world both as an artist and as a person. Only a few weeks ago, Jackson was working hard and  getting his vocals back in shape and, this was supposed to be the first live performance in 3D.

The sad news not only devastated Jackson’s family but millions of fans all over the world. Michael Jackson’s music has touched and influenced many artists and individuals throughout the years and you can’t help but smile and get in a good mood when you hear his music. His performances will forever be remembered as timeless.

Current Situation…

Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, is currently on his way to Los Angeles from Las Vegas to join Jackson’s mother and sister, as the world mourns the loss of possibly the greatest musical artist that ever lived.

A Little Background and Bio …

Michael Jackson was born August 29, 1958  in Gary, Indiana as the seventh child of the Jackson family.  Jackson debuted in the music scene at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 and began a solo career in 1971. Some of Michael’s hit albums include Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), History (1995) and the list goes on. Jackson also donated and raised millions of dollars for causes through his foundation, charity singles and support of 39 total charities. Michael Jackson was one of the few artists that have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.  Jackson holds multiple Guinness World Records—including one for “Most Successful Entertainer of All Time”, 13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career and sales of over 750 million albums worldwide.  Michael was described as one of the world’s most famous men and when added to his highly publicized personal life, coupled with his extremely successful career, he became the King of Pop forever.

Top Video Monday – Michael Jackson / Thriller

This weeks gem is an old favorite of probably 90% of the population. No matter what Michael did after the glue on his nose dried, you better believe he made great music!

In 1984, Michael Jackson created one of the most memorable music videos in music video history – “Thriller”. Thriller reached #4 in the US singles chart and won many awards for the unique choreography featured in the video.

This is the story of a young couple and a simple scary movie date turned into a choreographed zombie attack in the woods.

Without further ado…  Enjoy!

Top Video Monday – Aerosmith / Crazy

It’s that time again… And this week I got a real good one for you. This next video was one of the best and most popular songs in 1994 (Yes I’m going old school this week). Written by Steve Tyler, Joe Perry and Desmond Child and performed by the All-American rock band “Aerosmith“.

The video displays two school girls in school girl outfits performed by non-other than Alicia Silverstone and Liv Tyler. They skip school and go on a day of fun… I’m not gonna give out too much because you have to watch this video (For those of you crazy enough to have never seen this before).

This song was so amazing it earned the band a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal in 1994.  Enjoy!
