Trendy Fashion Under $25 at Pinkice.com

After getting a great response to my first PinkIce.com review, I decided to go back to the site and fish out a few new affordable and trendy favorites. Just to reiterate the details of the site’s program (Just in case you don’t click on the link above), PinkIce.com originated in Orange County, California and is hell bent on bringing the Orange County fashion to the rest of the world. They also have something called Pink points & Ice points.

Pink points are accumulated  simply by shopping, 5% of each purchase is converted into Pink points and are added to your account 30 days after the shipping date, so you can’t cheat and return the clothes just to get the points. Pink points are calculated by the subtotal of your purchases (excluding tax and shipping charges) and they expire within 1 year of purchase if they are not used. Ice Points on the other hand are even easier to get, all you have to do is refer a friend to register for a Pink Ice account and you will receive 5% of their purchase every time they shop. For full details on Pink Ice’s terms and conditions check out the info page.

I did pick out a few affordable pieces under $25.00 but for all the big spenders out there, don’t worry, there are more expensive pieces for your shopping pleasures. And last but not least all purchases over $75 ship for FREE.

My Favorites Series – Accessories / Rings

Ever since we moved, I’ve been scouring the web for many necessities for our apartment. Some more necessary then others – Like a couch! (We’ve been sitting on lawn chairs in the middle of an empty living room not including the TV). I made a list of everything we need and started browsing for the best deals. Well I started getting very frustrated and I wished that there was just one site that has a collection of items from different sites that will showcase exactly what I want. Some call it Google or Bing but I wanted something a little easier. And that’s when it hit me, I should do that! Make a collection of all my favorites from different categories like favorite shoes, accessories, couches, lamps…. well you get the idea.

I have very simple taste. I don’t like patterns. I love dark colors. I like elegant and classic looks with a splash of color. If you like what I like, this should be heaven for you. I will do the hard work for you. I will go through every known and unknown site on the web (that I can find) and pick out the best looking items. Every single item I display I will gladly wear myself so this is by no means a fake advertisement. In addition to the continuous articles, there will be a link on the right side to your favorite category. So no need to search the site for the last article (Unless you really want to :-) ) just go to the Fave’s quick links and start the fun.

Every time I post I will be announcing new items in an existing category or a new collection all together. So I hope you stay tuned. And if you have the memory problems that I very often have, why not just subscribe and get an update every time I post an article for free right at your email. This first post is the start of My Fave’s series and is all about Accessories – Rings to be exact. Check out the few items I have picked out so far. If you see anything you like just click on the image and it will take you directly to the merchant site.

James Bond 007 Villain Watch Collection

007-watch-villian-collection2The Swatch Group has recently released a line of watches designed specifically for the villains of the James Bond Series. I am a huge aficionado of James Bond cinema, and wanted to discuss the highlights of the aforementioned collection. For a complete list of available 007 watches from Swatch, please visit the following LINK.

Strangely enough, Swatch decided not to feature the main villain in a lot of their watches, deciding to design a watch around the secondary villain. A few examples of this are the watches for Blofeld’s Cat (You Only Live Twice), Wint and Kidd (Diamonds are Forever) and Xenia Onatopp (GoldenEye). The watches all feature the 007 logo branded on the band, and are moderately priced between $60.00 and $260.00. Although all of the watches are well designed, I would only be caught wearing a few. (Perhaps collecting the rest)

-GOLDFINGER (Odd Job)

Goldfinger continues to be my favorite Bond flick, and seems to set itself further and further apart from the competition each time I watch it. Sean Connery puts forth his best performance and with henchmen like GoldFinger and Odd Job, it ranks on the top.

The corresponding watch is a typical gold fashioned Men’s watch with a solid metal band, as well as six total dials. Nothing special here, just an old-fashioned circular face, with a 007 tattooed on the clasp.

-THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN (Scaramanga)

Sticking with the gold trend, Roger Moore squares off against the greatest assassin in a Bond film, Scaramanga. With the help of his short sidekick Nick Nack, Scramanga attempts build a laser that can destroy anything in its path. Ultimately the showdown results in Bond’s favor which proves once again, nobody does it better than Bond.

The watch designed by Swatch has a leather imitation band with gold ridges on each side, just before reaching the face. Again, it’s a classical circular face with six total dials. The black and gold fit together nicely and the price makes it even more attractive. (MSRP $129.99)

-MOONRAKER (Hugo Drax)

Although Moonraker is not the greatest of Roger Moore Bond movies, (In my humble opinion) Hugo Drax is an excellent Villain. With the help of Jaws, his unique plan is to take over the world! Developing a satellite that will eradicate the human race, Hugo gets all 1940’s Germany on the world and attempts to create a super human race. Enter James Bond to save the day.

This watch is much simpler in design than the previous two, having only four dials on the circular face. A stylistic silver and black finish, the band is simple steel all the way around, that closes with a typical clasp.

If you haven’t guessed by now, old school, simple circular faces is what I’m all about.
