I’ll admit, I was one of those girls with the giant Backstreet Boys posters on every wall of my room, back when it was backstreet Boys or N’Sync… Who’s with me? Lol. My favorite Boy was Brian at first, and then I moved on to Nick, but looking at them now, it really should have been Kevin Richardson. He really aged well hasn’t he? Two thumbs up. Reminding us Backstreet fans that he is not out for the count just yet, Richardson has officially added acting to his rapport.
He has done an episode of a Spanish TV series in 1999, a TV movie called Love Takes Wing in 2009, and a short called Unwound in 2011. So nothing to write home about really, until now. Suddenly Richardson has two movies coming out in 2012 and he’s excited to show that he’s more then just a pretty face (that can sing). The first movie is called The Casserole Club, and apparently has quite a few steamy scenes that Richardson wasn’t all too prepared for.
When E! News caught up with the Singer/Actor, they weren’t shy about asking the hard questions, like Were those sex scenes awkward to film? “This is actually the first time I’ve done any onscreen love scenes or anything like that. So yeah, it was awkward. But the people that I was acting opposite of were very professional and easygoing. We ended up laughing and having fun. It was interesting.” Richardson revealed.
The second film is a vampire thriller called The Bloody Indulgent, where Richardson portrays a drug addicted vampire who kills the owner of sleazy strip club and goes into hiding, until the strippers and the zombies come for revenge. I know, I know, it sounds real classy, but he’s got to start somewhere right? Richardson admitted to E! that he has not seen any of the Twilight movies but he is a fan of True Blood, and no one will fault him for that.
Richardson also talked about his reunion tour with the Backstreet Boys, “We go into the studio next month in London. Start recording our next album together, all five of us. And next year in 2013 will be our 20th anniversary. April of 2013 will be 20 years. We’re going to release the album and put together a tour, a world tour. I’m sure on that day we’ll have some kind of a big bash as well” How exciting!
