The 2012 Billboard Music Awards are not only a great place to show off your wacky music style, but also to win major awards. And when I say major, I am absolutely referring to Adele and LMFAO. They absolutely swept the Billboard Awards, leaving only leftovers for the rest of the artists.
So let’s start with Adele – TOP ALTERNATIVE SONG, TOP ARTIST, TOP FEMALE ARTIST, TOP HOT 100 ARTIST, TOP BILLBOARD 200 ARTIST, TOP BILLBOARD 200 ALBUM, TOP DIGITAL SONGS ARTIST, TOP RADIO SONGS ARTIST, TOP DIGITAL MEDIA ARTIST, TOP POP ARTIST, TOP POP ALBUM, and TOP STREAMING SONG (AUDIO) for Rolling In The Deep.
Now we move on to LMFAO for their awesome song: Party Rock Anthem – TOP HOT 100 SONG, TOP DIGITAL SONG, TOP POP SONG, TOP DANCE SONG, TOP RAP SONG, TOP DUO/GROUP. They may have not won as many awards as Adele but they were recognized for a specific song, in a variety of categories, which is a big feat to achieve. Fellow multiple winners include Lil Wayne with TOP MALE ARTIST / TOP RAP ARTIST and TOP RAP ALBUM, Coldplay with TOP ROCK ARTIST / TOP ALTERNATIVE ARTIST / TOP ROCK ALBUM and TOP ALTERNATIVE ALBUM, Jason Aldean with TOP COUNTRY ALBUM and TOP COUNTRY SONG, and Lady Gaga with TOP DANCE ARTIST and TOP DANCE ALBUM.
Other winners include: TOP NEW ARTIST – Wiz Khalifa, TOP TOURING ARTIST – U2, TOP COUNTRY ARTIST – Lady Antebellum, TOP SOCIAL ARTIST – Justin Bieber, TOP STREAMING ARTIST – Rihanna, TOP R&B ARTIST – Chris Brown, TOP LATIN ARTIST – Shakira, TOP R&B ALBUM – Beyonce, TOP RADIO SONG – Pitbull (Give Me Everything), TOP STREAMING SONG (VIDEO) – Nicki Minaj (Super Bass), TOP R&B SONG – Kelly Rowland (Motivation), TOP ROCK SONG – Foster The People (Pumped Up Kicks), and TOP LATIN SONG – Don Omar & Lucenzo (Danza Kuduro).
